# Endorse Event Definition

An Endorse Event is indexed every time an [Endorsable](/rest/endorsable/definition) is endorsed (i.e. transferred) on the blockchain.

By reconstructing these events, a chain of custody can be established for every Endorsable. This way, the ownership history is transparent and secure.
